A man wanted on felony charges in Baltimore was arrested in Westmoreland County early Friday.
Westmoreland Sheriff C.O. Balderson said his office received a tip about a fugitive from Maryland being in the Hague area of the county. Deputies did some surveillance and confirmed the man’s whereabouts, the sheriff said.
With help from the King George Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police K–9 unit, Westmoreland deputies executed a search warrant at 5 a.m. Friday morning in the 1000 block of Jerusalem Church Road in Hague, Balderson said.
Devan M. Ginyard, 24, was arrested at a relative’s house without incident. He is charged in Baltimore County, Md., with armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and theft.
Ginyard is being held at the Northern Neck Regional Jail without bond pending extradition.
