A Stafford County family of four is displaced after a fire burned their home.
According to Mark Doyle of the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department, units responded to a reported structural fire at 9:28 p.m. in the 100 block of Hyde Park in Sunnydale Meadows.
The first unit arrived on the scene within six minutes, Doyle said, and they reported a fire in the basement that was extending to the first floor of the townhome.
Doyle said firefighters had the fire under control within 10 minutes.
Three adults, one infant and one pet were displaced because of the fire, Doyle said.
The American Red Cross assisted with sheltering, Doyle said.
Doyle said one female was transported by Medic 10 and there were no other reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage estimates are not available, authorities said.
Fire and rescue units from North Stafford, Aquia, Stafford, Mountain View, Falmouth, Rockhill and Quantico responded to the scene.
