The Stafford Sheriff’s Office is investigating two recent crimes in the county.
According to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bill Kennedy, a pastor reported vandalism at Ramoth Baptist Church on July 24.
Sometime in the last two weeks, someone vandalized the church’s small outbuilding. Numerous windows were broken out, some with rocks, Kennedy said.
The same church had been burglarized earlier this year. A local man was charged in that case.
Kennedy said police are also investigating a construction site larceny.
The foreman of a building project off Leland Road reported on July 23 that four laminate countertops were missing from a home that was under construction.
They had been delivered four days earlier, Kennedy said.
Large amounts of copper wire and piping have also been reported stolen in that area recently, Kennedy said.
The stolen items are valued at more than $500, he said.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at 540/659-2020.
