Overturned truck closes I-95
Drivers walked away unharmed from a two-vehicle accident that left a tractor trailer overturned, shutting down parts of Interstate 95 in the middle of the night.
A passenger vehicle and tractor trailer were involved in the accident at mile marker 143, said Mark Doyle of Stafford Fire and Rescue. The call came in at 12:14 a.m. Sunday.
The truck driver was still in the cab when crews got there, so the windshield was removed to pull the driver out, Doyle said. Both drivers were assessed for injuries and then refused medical transport.
All three lanes were blocked and traffic was diverted. Crews had to be called to clear diesel fuel.
