Six charged with drugs, robbery

A drug investigation Tuesday led to charges against six Westmoreland County residents.

According to Westmoreland Sheriff C.O. Balderson, two of the arrests were related to an April 2011 home invasion in Kinsale.

Lamont L. Turner, 37, and Phillip O. Parrotte, 44, are each charged with breaking and entering, robbery, use of a firearm while committing a robbery, two counts of abduction, two counts of use of a firearm while committing an abduction, wearing a mask to conceal identity and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Both were already being held in the Northern Neck Regional Jail with a court hearing scheduled for today in Westmoreland Circuit Court, Balderson said.

The Tri-City Taskforce, which includes the Westmoreland, Caroline and King George county sheriff’s offices, Virginia State Police and Naval Criminal Investigative Service, made four other arrests, Balderson said.

Deborah Peyton, 45, and Dwayne C. West, both of Colonial Beach, are charged with distribution of crack cocaine and conspiracy. Both were already being held in Northern Neck Regional Jail.

Soloman A. Smith, 75, of Montross is charged with distribution of oxycodone. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in circuit court today.

Tony Wormley, 55, of Oldhams, is charged with two counts of distribution of crack cocaine. He is being held without bond.
