Man faces charges after triple shooting
A Louisa County man is facing three felony charges after a Sunday morning shooting that left three people injured.
According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at a location in the 5800 block of Buckner Road just after midnight.
Police say Deonne Tyrell Robinson, 23, approached Carlos Anderson, 31, and shot him in the chest five times. Anderson returned fire and shot Robinson in the arm.
A 20-year-old female bystander was also struck in the arm, but was treated and released at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
Anderson and Robinson were both taken to U.Va. Medical Center in Charlottesville and are expected to recover from their injuries, police said
Robinson is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied vehicle and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A hearing will be scheduled in Albemarle County, police said.
Police said numerous witnesses have cooperated in the investigation and two vehicles have been impounded to be processed for evidence.
It is still unclear, however, what started the altercation, but the case is under investigation and more charges are pending, police said.
