Jack Maus to run as write-in candidate for Commonwealth Attorney
John “Jack” Maus, a Louisa County resident and criminal law practitioner for the past 25 years, said he is running as a write-in candidate for the Louisa Commonwealth’s Attorney position.
He will compete against Deputy Commonwealth Attorney Rusty McGuire, who is the only candidate whose name will be on the ballot.
If elected, Maus said he intends to pursue fair prosecution, including more open disclosure of government evidence against an accused, especially evidence in the government’s possession that is favorable to an accused.
He said he also intends to make the office staff more reflective of the community.
