Louisa hires new head football coach
Louisa High School introduced Jon Meeks as its new football coach at a press conference today in the library. Meeks was an assistant coach under Mark Fischer for eight years. He was the associate head coach for six of those seasons. Fischer resigned last month to become head coach at St. James High School near Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Meeks, 31, was the defensive coordinator and special teams coach under Fischer. The Lynchburg native is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a standout football player.
