LOUISA, VIRGINIA – Chase Development Company announces the opening of Food Lion at New Bridge Landing. The newest grocery store in the county will be open for business Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 8:00 am. The store will include a pharmacy and be open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.
In addition to Food Lion, New Bridge Landing will be home to Subway, Chef Lee’s Chinese Restaurant, Lake Anna Veterinary Hospital and Big Cheese Pizza. Still under development are two additional commercial sites.
“Conservative estimates for Food Lion’s first year sales are $14.5 million, adding $145,000 in much needed sales tax revenue for the county. Louisa County is committed to developing and expanding it commercial and retail tax base to support the county’s core public services,” said Economic Development Director Andy Wade.
Louisa County Board of Supervisors Chairman, Willie Gentry, stated, “Food Lion and New Bridge Landing will prove to be a tremendous asset, providing much desired goods and services for the growing population and visitors to Lake Anna, as well as a much welcomed boost to our local economy.”
