County offices closing early

LOUISA COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES CLOSING AT 1:00 PM

All non-essential Louisa County functions including refuse and recycling centers, landfill, the Betty Queen Intergenerational Center and all other non-essential functions and facilities will be closing at 1:00 pm today, Thursday, December 16, 2010.

When extreme weather hits, citizens can call (540) 967-0401 or (866) 325-4131 from any location.  Select option 6, Inclement Weather Hotline, to learn if the County government offices will be closed or delayed. Information will also be placed on the County’s website at www.louisacounty.com

County Offices are currently open. Liberal leave is granted for county employees but are instructed to contact their immediate supervisor for instructions.  Monitor weather conditions and use extra caution when driving.
