Families of those killed in a car crash a year ago gathered in Sheriff Steve Dempsey’s office yesterday for a private ceremony with state legislators in honor of those who died.

Sen. Richard Stuart and Del. Margaret Ransone presented resolutions, passed by both houses of the General Assembly earlier this year. The resolutions celebrated the lives of Bethany Dawn Dempsey, Lauren Allie White and Abigail Randi–Mae Cullen. All three died Aug. 27, 2013, on their way back to Warsaw from the airport in Baltimore.

The resolutions describe the interests and activities of the three who died and how each will be “fondly remembered and deeply missed.”

In a story published in The Free Lance–Star on the one-year anniversary of the crash, family members remember their loved ones and the struggle they face in their absence.
