QuickBooks class offered at UMW
King George County’s office of economic development is working with the University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center to offer business classes for workers, who may not have the time or means to attend classes in Fredericksburg.
A session on QuickBooks training is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at UMW’s Dahlgren campus. The workshop will be led by Connie Whittingham and is designed to teach the basics of QuickBooks and how to perform typical bookkeeping tasks.
Attendees will participate in instruction, lab and question-and-answer sessions. The fee is $110, and seating is limited to 10 people. Those interested can sign up here.
Linwood Thomas, King George’s economic development director, said the county and UMW’s Small Business Development Center will continue to work together to offer classes at a discount to citizens.
