Markets aims for 1,000 visitors
Officials with the King George Farmers Market hope to set a new record by having 1,000 visitors at this Saturday’s market. The current record is more than 700, and as recently as Saturday, the market recorded 720 visitors for the first “Salsa Showdown.” Judges and visitors alike voted on which of the many salsa choices presented was the best.
The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at King George Elementary School, at the intersection of State Route 3 and 205.
