Brabo attending national meeting in March
Supervisor Ruby Brabo said she would be willing to pay for her hotel room, if the county would cover the $540 registration fee for her to attend the National Association of Counties (NACo) meeting March 2 through 6 in Washington, D.C.
Brabo said she would share a room with Westmoreland County Supervisor Rosemary Mahan and foot the bill for the expense. But fellow Supervisor Cedell Brooks Jr. said, that if she’s representing the county, the county should pay her way.
Brabo said there were several benefits from her attending last year’s convention. She was able to arrange a visit to the county by Sen. Mark Warner, and she brought back information about various scholarships and school programs.
