KG hires new county attorney

King George has its first full-time county attorney, Eric A. Gregory, a lawyer with more than 10 years of state and local experience.

Supervisors approved his hiring in closed-session tonight. Gregory  most recently has served as county attorney for Powhatan County and was an assistant attorney general with the Commonwealth of Virginia before then. He also was an associate attorney with Morris and Morris.

Gregory begins his duties on Feb. 11 and will earn $120,000 a year.
