State agency offers results on Fairview Beach testing
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has increased the number of water samples taken at Fairview Beach to determine levels of bacteria in the water.
Fairview Beach residents have taken on the task of doing additional sampling, Chris Thomas, director of the King George Service Authority, told the Board of Supervisors tonight.
DEQ plans to discuss the results of its increased sampling during a meeting on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Fairview Beach Fire House. Members of the residents association have been invited, along with the King George Department of Health, the Service Authority and the owner of the nearby trailer park.
