Brooks: Let them have bottled water
People who come to cooling shelters ought to be able to get a bottle of water there, said King George Board of Supervisors Chairman Cedell Brooks Jr. When county officials said both buildings that have been used as shelters have water fountains and that the county didn’t need any additional expenses, Brooks wasn’t satisfied.
He said he’d donate two cases of water himself. Fellow supervisors Joe Grzeika and Ruby Brabo said they’d match his donation.
“I want Deer Park,” Brooks said.
“Where do we drop the water off?” Brabo wondered.
“I’ve got mine in the van now,” Brooks added.
