Summerfest set for June 2

King George Parks and Recreation presents Summerfest 2012, an evening of music and entertainment, on June 2 at Barnesfield Park.

A wild animal show at 5 p.m. starts the activities, which include live music by Rivertown Bandits from 5 to 7 p.m., by Joey Vincent, a one-man musical variety show, from 7 to 8 p.m. and by Who Took Fred at 9 p.m.

Also, at 9 p.m., the movie “Hugo” will be shown on the lawn.

There will be a car show, games, petting zoo, pony rides, minute-to-win-it challenges, a cash vault and a puppet show from Kids on the Block. Various community groups will sell food and drinks.
