KG burn ban lifted
King George County lifted its ban on burning Monday at 5 p.m. The state burn law, which says that outdoor fires are unlawful before 4 p.m., will remain in effect through April 30.
Fire officials lifted the ban after recent rains reduced the fire threat. Fire officials ask residents to use proper safety measures when burning to prevent risk of injury or escaping fire.
