Here’s why the Christmas tree is being displayed already

I asked why the Christmas tree was appearing in front of Spotsylvania Towne Centre so early—and The Cafaro Co., the parent company of the mall, answered.

“Concert in Lights . . . Ignite the Night!” will debut at The Village at Towne Centre with a kickoff ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5. The holiday decorations will explode in intricate synchronization with seasonal music every night, at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.

The concert utilizes more than 250,000 lights, a sophisticated sound system and a proprietary computer program.  For a sample, visit here.
