Part of VCU nation

During Monday’s budget work session with the Board of Supervisors, Donita Harper, the county’s finance director, was asked to stand and show off her VCU button. She’s a proud alumni of Virginia Commonwealth University, and no doubt, will be cheering for the Rams on Saturday night.

But then, who won’t? All of us, as Virginians, have an obligation to support the home team in the Final Four of basketball’s March Madness.

Any other VCU grads out there? We did a quick tally in the newsroom and found at least five editors and reporters who graduated or got their master’s degrees there.
