Where’s the lake?
That’s what Cedell Brooks Jr. wondered last night, when supervisors approved the plat for the Lake Caledon subdivision.
The property is off Caledon Road and consists of 97 two-acre lots. It was approved as Rolling Meadows subdivision in 2006 when Robert Gollahon owned it. When he sold it to Jarrell Properties, Jarrell changed the name to Lake Caledon.
Which is a fine name, but as Brooks pointed out, there’s no lake. There is a small body of water nearby, said Community Development Director Jack Green.
But it’s not like residents of Lake Caledon are going to be able to water ski on it anytime soon.
