About fire and rescue services

King George residents have asked for a town-hall type meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss the county’s fire and rescue services.

Resident Racquel Harbaugh asked for the meeting “due to the lack of response by King George Fire and Rescue to a house fire on Lisa Lane in the past month.”

She added:  “It is apparent that our county needs to address the lack of resources that we have at our disposal and how heavily we rely on mutual aid with the surrounding areas.”

The meeting will be held at  King George Fire Station 1.
