Happy birthday to . . . the pets

Birthday girl Ella Inseth with some of the "presents" for pets.

Children tend to ask for all sorts of things for their birthday, but two King George kids wanted dog chow and cat food.

Don’t worry. Ella Inseth and Dan Willis weren’t on an unusual diet. They wanted to share their happy day with the cats and dogs served by King George Animal Control.

The two asked their friends to bring gifts for pets to their birthday parties. Then, Dan brought the loot to the new King George animal pound, and Ella followed suit a few weeks later. They brought lots of food and treats, as well as toys and a gift card to PetSmart.
