Get a charge outta this
The county continues to save money on projects during a not-so-great economy.
The latest is low-voltage equipment for the new Sheriff’s Office. County officials estimated they’d spend up to $400,000 on the equipment, such as security cameras, work stations and monitors.
But this week, the county awarded the contract for less than half that price. Johnson Controls in Ashland will provide the equipment for $170,579.
