Get rid of hazardous household waste

Got some old paint cans or ancient insecticide lying around the garage?

Here’s your chance to get rid of the stuff. Waste Management and King George Department of Waste and Recycling are hosting Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday at the King George Landfill off State Route 3.

The following items can be dropped off from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

* Old paints

* Aerosol cans

* Kerosene

* Insecticides

* Motor oil

* Fertilizers

* Swimming pool chemicals

* Unused household cleaners
