Date set on Belle Grove hearing

Supervisors will hear public comments on a proposal to allow sand and gravel mining at Belle Grove, the birthplace of President James Madison, on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

The public hearing was supposed to be held on Jan. 19, but was postponed because a paid notice advertising the hearing had the wrong date. It listed 2009, not 2010.

The board meeting starts at 6 p.m., and the public hearing is scheduled at 6:30 p.m.
