Public hearing rescheduled
The public hearing on the proposal to mine sand and gravel at Belle Grove, the presidential birthplace of James Madison, will not be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, because of a mistake in an advertisement.
The ad announcing the hearing gave the wrong date—2009 instead of 2010, said Community Development Director Jack Green.
The Board of Supervisors will reschedule the hearing in February, but a date has not been set at this time, Green said.
