They’re getting on the bus

King George County residents are getting on the bus more these days, just like people throughout the region.

Ridership on the Fredericksburg Regional Transit, or FRED buses, was up almost 19 percent in January from the year before.

The same was true in King George: 1,625 people took the bus last month, compared to 1,312 in January 2008.
