Man gets two life sentences in missing teen case
The man found guilty of abducting and killing a Nelson County teen received two life sentences at a court hearing this afternoon, the Lynchburg News and Advance reports.
Randy Allen Taylor, 49, was sentenced in Nelson County Circuit Court this afternoon in the death of Alexis Tiara Murphy, 17.
The teenager’s body has never been found.
She disappeared last August. Both Alexis and Taylor were captured on surveillance video at a gas station off U.S. 29 in Lovingston on the day she disappeared.
In May, a jury found Taylor guilty of murder and abduction with intent to defile but Taylor maintains his innocence.
