A change in plans for Buffett bidders

For those interested in bidding for the chance to have lunch with local philanthropist Doris Buffett, there’s been a slight change in plans. The auction was originally set to begin on ebay.com last night, but instead, it won’t start until Friday at 10:15 p.m.

The auction will raise money for Fredericksburg Counseling Services, the area’s free mental health clinic. Catherine Jennings, the clinic’s board president, emailed me this morning to let me know about the change in start time.

Bids will be taken on eBay from Friday through Feb. 10 at 10:15 p.m., Jennings said. Bidding will start at $200. For more information, visit fcsagency.org or call 540/373-2320.
