NOLAND BUTLER - James Monroe senior

Butler was the 3A East champion in the 100 freestyle and second in the 200 free. She placed in the top five in both events at the 3A state championships.


CAMRYN CURRY - Colonial Forge freshman

The Eagles’ standout freshman placed second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 100 freestyle at the Group 6A state championships.


LARISSA NEILAN - Orange senior

Neilan captured the Group 5A 100 breaststroke championship. She was also second in the state in the 200 IM, and the 5A North 100 breaststroke winner.


RYAN ULRICH - Stafford junior

Ulrich led Stafford’s girls team at the 6A South championships, swimming to fifth-place finishes (and qualifying for states) in both the 50 and 100 freestyle races.


CAROLINE WANNER - Brooke Point junior

The 2013 FLS swimmer of the year won Group 5A state titles in the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle. She was also the region 200 IM champion.


ANNIE BOONE - Eastern View sophomore

Boone won two Group 4A state champions—in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke (54.54). She was also the 4A North region champion in the 100 butterfly.



BRAD ALLISON - James Monroe junior

Allison was the Group 3A 200 freestyle state champion, swimming the event in 1:44.80. He was also ninth in the state in the 100 freestyle.



Bonilla–Vazquez swam to the Group 4A state title in the 100 butterfly. He was also fourth in the state in the 200 IM, and second in the region in both events.


ALEX MORGAN - Colonial Forge junior

Morgan was the 6A South runner-up in the 200 individual medley and fifth in the 100 free. His 200 IM time was the area’s best this season.


ALEC MORIN - St. Michael senior

Morin was fourth at the VISAA championships in the 50 freestyle and second in the 100 free, swimming the area’s top time in both events.


PETER STOFFEL - James Monroe senior

Stoffel was the Group 3A runner-up in the 100 butterfly (51.99) and placed third in the state in the 50 free. He also swam on a third-place 400 free relay team.


OWEN van KRIMPEN - Eastern View junior

Van Krimpen won the Group 4A state title in the 500 freestyle, completing the race in an impressive 4:42.15. He was also second in the state in the 200 free and won region titles in both events.


NICOLE KENT - Fredericksburg Christian

Kent’s Eagles won the DAC boys title—it’s the first time in school history either FCS team has won a Delaney title. She was named the VISAA boys coach of the year.
