HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Callan’s big game carries Panthers
Hunter Callan’s seven goals and three assists helped Massaponax to its first varsity boys lacrosse victory, 12–3 over Potomac on Monday night.
Jason Jaworski scored twice for the Panthers, and Chris Campbell, Trey Carson, and Brody Thompson each had one. Goalkeeper Nick Pisani made seven saves.
The Panthers host Freedom on Thursday.
MOUNTAIN VIEW 11, OSBOURN 1
Molly Lynch and Olivia Hubert each scored three times for the Wildcats, and Casey Castelli had two.
Lauren Thatcher, Lauren Donahue and Beth Barnes also scored for Mountain View, and goalie Bailey Whitaker made nine saves, with defensive help from Sydney Grossweiler.
MADISON CO. 7, ORANGE 6
Orange rallied to take the lead in the top of the seventh, but Madison scored twice in the bottom of the inning. The Hornets (0–1) host Spotsylvania today.

Gary Boxley went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double, and starting pitcher Matthew Abel went five innings, while striking out four and allowing no earned runs for James Monroe.
