GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Beverly, Harmon lead Bears to win

Candice Beverly finished with a double-double, recording 15 points and 11 rebounds, to lead Riverbend to a 50–49 girls basketball win over visiting Brooke Point on Friday night.

Lainey Harmon had a team-high 17 points and dished out four assists for the Bears, who visit Mountain View on Tuesday.

Alandra Bandy recorded a game-high 18 points, including three 3-pointers, for Brooke Point.

Sha’Tiva Harvey totaled 10 points to lead King George, which hosts Fauquier this afternoon.

The Cavaliers host Courtland on Tuesday.

Marnie Streeter added 11 rebounds and nine steals for the Eagles, who visit Bishop Ireton this afternoon.
