HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Visiting Wildcat girls pull away from Foxes

Jessie Dixon scored 16 points for visiting Mountain View and the Wildcats pulled away in the second quarter after a slow start to get a 47–35 girls basketball win against King George on Monday night.

Elissa Davis had a team-high 12 points for the Foxes, who didn’t help their cause by going just 6-for-19 from the free throw line.

King George is scheduled to visit James Monroe on Wednesday in a game pushed back a day from tonight due to today’s school closures.

Mountain View has a game scheduled at Riverbend tonight.

BOYS BASKETBALL

RIVERBEND 62, NORTH STAFFORD 50

Riverbend jumped out to good starts in each half en route to a win against visiting North Stafford.

Micheal Mead hit four 3-points to lead three Bears in double-figure scoring with 12 points.

Zach Sims added nine points and three steals for Riverbend, which visits Colonial Forge on Friday.

Savon Bullock led the Wolverines with 12 points.
