HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Eagles reach Westfield final

Marco Haskins scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Colonial Forge boys basketball team to a 61–52 victory over host Westfield on Saturday and into the Westfield Tournament final.

Isiah Williams recorded eight points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Carion Eaton had four points and dished out four assists for the Eagles.

The final will take place Monday against Bishop Ireton.

BOYS BASKETBALL

RIVERBEND 80, MILLBROOK 64

Michael Holmes recorded a game-high 23 points to go along with three steals and three assists to lead Riverbend to the victory in the third-place game of the King George Tournament.

David McCauley had 20 points, five steals and four assists for the Bears, who host Brooke Point on Jan. 6.

JOHN HANDLEY 69, STAFFORD 55

Quan Evans’ 17 points weren’t enough to help the Indians overcome the Judges in a nondistrict contest at the L.C. Byrd Holiday Hoops Classic.

Brandon Brown recorded 14 points, including four 3-pointers, eight rebounds and seven assists for Stafford, which travels to North Stafford on Friday.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 60, JEB STUART 53

Lucas Brown tallied 19 points to help Mountain view earn a bid into Monday’s Joe Cascio Tournament final.

Darren Robinson had 13 points, and E.J. Fisher added 10 points for the Wildcats.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

STAFFORD 64, BROAD RUN 36

Kendall Parker scored a team-high 18 points, including a perfect 9 for 9 from the free-throw line, and led Stafford to a fourth-place finish at the Broad Run Tournament.

Grace Epps had nine points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Alexus White added 14 points for the Indians, who visit Franklin County on Monday.

MASSAPONAX 49, HERITAGE 45

Alexis Willis scored 17 points and had five steals as the Panthers rallied from a 12-point, third-quarter deficit and limited the Hurricanes to six points in the final quarter to win the fifth-place game of the Boo Williams Classic.

Cierra Wormley added nine points and five rebounds while Emma Grosskopf chipped in six points and six blocks for Massaponax, which hosts Mountain View Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

WRESTLING

ORANGE HOLIDAY DUALS

Riverbend went 3–1 at the Orange event, defeating Chancellor (42–27), Liberty (42–38) and Culpeper (42–34), but falling to Briar Woods (25–46).

Top Bears wrestlers Saturday were Jacob Peters (113), 3–1, three pins; Dayn Roberts (126), 3–1, two pins; Xavier Darensbourg (145), 3–1, two pins; Alex Miller (160), 4–0, four pins; and Uriah Watkins (182), 4–0, four pins.

CAROLINE 79, KING WILLIAM 28

Bo Hayes and Hope Toliver had 26 points each to carry the Cavaliers in the Caroline Christmas Tournament.

Jazmen Moore scored 12 points and Delikequa Parker added eight points for Caroline.
