GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Chargers, Panthers, Indians get wins at tourney

Emily Green scored 22 points and recorded three assists and three steals to lead Chancellor over Wise (Md.), 68–53, in the Boo Williams Classic on Friday. Jayla Harris added 19 points and six assists.

The Chargers play Landstown in the fifth-place game today at 10 a.m.

On Thursday, Chancellor fell 56–50 in overtime to Woodside. Harris and Green combined for 32 points in the opener.

Grace Epps scored 16 points as the Indians defeated the Pride of Leesburg in their second game of the Broad Run Holiday Tournament.

Stafford closes out tournament play today, at 3 p.m.

On Friday, Kendall Parker’s 14 points was not enough for Stafford as the Indians fell to Millbrook.

Washington & Lee trailed 16–2 after one quarter, but rallied to within seven in the third, only to fall to Rappahannock in the Golden Eagle Booster Club Classic.
