BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Wildcats win in second OT

Lucas Brown scored a game-high 29 points, none bigger than his last field goal with one second remaining in the second overtime, that lifted Mountain View to a 74–72 boys basketball win over Yorktown in the Falls Church Tournament on Friday night.

Brown, who recorded a double–double with 10 assists, scored 19 of his points throughout the fourth quarter and overtime periods.

Mountain View closes out play in the tournament today against JEB Stuart High School.

Anthony Howard had 19 points and eight rebounds to lead tournament host King George to a 64–50 win over Millbrook in boys basketball action on Friday night.

Sam Sharpe added 17 points, including three 3-pointers for the Foxes, who play Nansemond River today.

Riverbend, who lost the first game of the tournament, plays Millbrook today.

Kobe Butler came off the bench in the third quarter to give Brooke Point a spark en route to a win over National Academy (Md.) in the Snowball Classic played at Garrett Community College (Md.).

Julian Swinton had 16 points to lead the Black–Hawks, who take on Hereford (Md.) in tonight’s championship.

Jeremy Turner tallied nine points, dished out 10 assists and recorded six steals, while Milan Bullock added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles, who visits Lancaster on Jan. 6.
