HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Culpeper earns first win; Eagles improve to 2–0

Culpeper scored 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter—touched off by a 50-yard interception return by Anthony Odham—to earn their first win of the season for the second time in a week.

The Blue Devils beat Charlottesville last week but on Tuesday had to forfeit the victory because they had used an ineligible player.

They trailed Madison County 7–6 after three quarters last night.

But Odham’s interception return put Culpeper ahead, 12–7. Billy Hogan followed with touchdown runs of 30 and 11 yards to seal the victory.

Madison had 17 first downs to six for Culpeper and outgained the Blue Devils, 267–92.

Culpeper (1–2) plays at Fluvanna next Friday.
