FRIDAY’S GAME

(18) NW Region, Div. 6 Final: Colonial Forge at C.D. Hylton – In a rematch of a game played earlier this season, the Eagles got off to a slow start before making a game of it, only to come up just short in their bid for their first ever region title.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

(30) NW Region, Div. 5 Final: Mountain View at North Stafford – The match-up between Stafford County rivals edged out James Monroe’s Division 3 title game as this week’s Game of the Week. The Wolverines were running on all cylinders on Saturday en route a its second straight region championship.

(14) Region I, Div. 4 Final: Courtland at Smithfield – Game of the Week voters underestimated the Cougars, but the region’s fourth seed pulled off its second straight upset to take home its 10th all-time region championship.

(27) Region I, Div. 3 Final: Park View-South Hill at James Monroe – The Yellow Jackets were once again near the top in Game of the Week voting, falling just behind the North Stafford-Mountain View match-up. On the field, after a slow start, JM went on to pull away for their second straight region title.
