Female kicker from Spotsylvania gets a tryout with Virginia Tech
Last year I wrote a story about Spotsylvania senior Lauren Luttrell’s quest to become a kicker on the Knights’ football team.
Luttrell had a solid season for Spotsylvania, registering 10 extra points and a 31-yard field goal. And now she’s on to bigger things.
The Washington Post reported that Luttrell tried out for Virginia Tech’s football team on Monday. And apparently head coach Frank Beamer has invited her to tryout again at spring practice.
