Stafford Hospital receives recognition for making surgery easier on patients
Stafford Hospital was recently designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. This means that Stafford Hospital’s GYN Surgery program, under the medical directorship of Dr. Kurian Thott, has demonstrated excellence in minimally invasive GYN surgery. Stafford Hospital is one of only five Virginia hospitals that have been designated a COEMIG facility by the AAGL Surgical Review Board.
“Earning the center of excellence designation signified our ability to consistently deliver the safest, highest quality care to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery patients,” said Cathy Yablonski, Stafford Hospital Administrator. “With Dr. Thott, Stafford Hospital is performing hundreds of minimally invasive GYN surgeries each year, with outstanding results. Participation in this designation has further focused our team on exceeding clinical benchmarks and guidelines.”
