Berkeley decides: Grampp wins school board seat

Local horse back riding instructor Erin Grampp has won the Berkeley school board seat with 47 percent of votes cast.

Here is a rundown of how the Berkeley school board candidates:

  • Erin Grampp: 47.86 percent
  • J. Gilbert “Gil” Seaux: 15.05 percent
  • Mark Marshall: 36.51 percent

Unsurprisingly, unopposed candidates school board chairwoman Amanda Blalock (Lee Hill) and Army vet and volunteer coach Baron Braswell (Battlefield) won their contests. Blalock with 97 percent and Braswell with 98 percent. The missing percentage points are made up by write-in’s.
