Massaponax student wins superintendent’s visual arts award
Isobella Dillon of Massaponax High School received January’s Superintendent’s Award for visual arts. She was just recognized at tonight’s School Board meeting.
Isobella is a 10th grader at Massaponax High School. This month’s award was given among students in 9th and 10th grades.
According to a statement from the division, she was nominated for the award for a “tempera resist painting called the Lacrosse Players. ” Her art teacher is Carter Corbin.
Isobella’s artwork is being displayed in Superintendent Scott Baker’s office this month.
Two other Massaponax students were nominated for the award, 9th grader Kristin Kim and 10th grader Cynthia Dunham.
