Former superintendent’s mother has died
UPDATE: School Board member Ray Lora asked that the division observe a moment of silence in support of Dr. Redinger’s family during Monday’s School Board meeting.
The mother of former Spotsylvania schools superintendent Shelley K. Redinger passed away at her home in Spokane, Wash., on Jan. 7, 2013. Bertha “BJ” Taylor was 71 and a retired educator.
Dr. Redinger served as Spotsylvania’s superintendent for the 2011-12 school year. She left to become Spokane’s superintendent to be near her mother, who was ill.
