Germanna student persevering despite health crises

At 40, Jennifer Stone has faced her mortality multiple times as a result of heart attacks and cancer. But rather than living in wait for the next health crisis, she’s focused on getting trained to help others.

Stone, the Student Government Association president, is studying psychology with hopes of a career as a counselor.

She’s also discovered a love for expressing herself artistically as a result of this semester’s drawing class. A still life she created is to be displayed in the gallery inside Virginia Wine Experience, 826 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg.
