Spotsy ranks below Louisa and Fredericksburg in starting teacher pay
Spotsylvania School Board members are starting to dig through the numbers to craft the fiscal 2014 budget, which begins July 1.
Salary data they’re examining shows Spotsylvania’s first-year teachers are getting paid less this year than new teachers in the city of Fredericksburg and in Louisa County.
Spotsylvania’s school division was shown the following data regarding teacher salaries across various steps in the region’s schools, but since Spotsylvania hasn’t given any step increases since the 2007-08 school year, it’s unclear if the step comparisons are valid beyond Step 0.
