Ni River evacuated after another bomb threat today
Ni River Middle School was evacuated this afternoon about 2 p.m. after discovery of a bomb threat, Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Harvey said.
Nothing was found and students were sent home, Harvey said.
Schools spokeswoman Rene Daniels said the threat was in the form of a message written inside a girls’ bathroom. She said an investigation is ongoing.
The school has had previous bomb threats this school year and the last.
According to the school division’s code of conduct, leaving a threatening message is considered “violent criminal conduct” and can result in long-term suspension and criminal charges.
