Four Spotsylvania schools must create improvement plans, state says
According to a report released yesterday by the Virginia Department of Education, four Spotsylvania County schools must implement improvement plans.
Statewide, 485 schools must take that step. In the Fredericksburg region, 28 schools are affected.
The corrective measures are needed as a result of student achievement on new annual benchmarks for reading, math and graduation rates.
In Spotsylvania, improvement plans are required at Brock Road Elementary, Riverview Elementary, Battlefield Middle and Massaponax High, according to state education officials.
