Redinger released from her contract without reimbursement; board to interview candidates within 15 days
The Spotsylvania School Board just released Superintendent Shelley K. Redinger from her contract without requiring that she repay any of the relocation expenses she received for moving from Oregon to Virginia.
Board member Amanda Blalock said the contract did not call for reimbursement.
Board Chairwoman Linda Wieland also announced after a closed-door meeting that the board would interview superintendent candidates within the next 15 days. She would not elaborate except to say that the candidates could come from within and outside the division.
Board members and Redinger were teary-eyed after the meeting as they hugged.
